| Meet the Restorers: Kevin Master Restorer Kevin opened the shop to the public in the fall of 2005. His interest in antiques and restoration shows through in his work. He takes great pride in turning a neglected piece into a family treasure. Kevin's day to day responsibilities include overseeing every detail in the restoration process from start to finish. Kevin also finds time to preform some repair work that is needed. Kevin still does all customer home pick ups and deliveries himself on Saturday's! Keith Chair Caning, Customer Service & Repair If your chair bottom is dilapidated or sagging Keith is the one you need to see! He is experienced in all types of chair caning including lace cane, sheet cane, flat reed, rush, danish cord and shaker tape. Along with the task of chair caning, Keith also handles customer telephone calls, special orders, as well as scheduling for Saturday pick up and deliveries. When time allows, Keith pitches in helps perform repair work on select furniture pieces. Roger Lace Chair Caning Roger passed away on January 1st, 2011... He was loved by all and is dearly missed by family and friends. You are always in our thoughts... Rest In Peace! Frances Lace Chair Caning & Customer Service Frances is the one to see for all your hand lace cane chair needs. She averages 35 hours of handwork for each seat bottom or seat back and that can be pretty tough on the fingers. Her dedication and attention to detail means the customer's treasured family pieces look like new when finished and are sure to last for years to come. Frances also assists with customer service whenever time allows. Justin Restoration Assistant Justin is the newest member of our team. He is learning all the duties required to become a Master Restorer. Justin understands the final product is only as good as the work done before hand. Also, on Saturday's Justin is the perfect delivery assistant helping Kevin ensure the best care is given when moving your treasured pieces between your home and our shop. He covers each piece with a furniture blanket and carefully straps the furniture down for safe travel. The extra attention to detail makes all the difference. David Customer Service / Repair Assistant David assists mostly on Saturdays with repairing damaged furniture items. His skills are excellent as he thinks "outside the box" for the best way to make a repair last. When not working on repairs, he is available for loading and unloading of customer's heavier items. |
